Eyal Levin Eyal Levin was born in Haifa in 1986. Eyal started sailing in 1995. Eyal started his way as a sailor in the year of 1995 and was and won has some outstanding achievements in Israel and abroad during his progress. Throughout the years Eyal won national and international titles and is a top promising Israeli sailor for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Personal achievements include:
1996-1999: The national champion in Optimist International model course.
2000-2002: The national champion in the “420″ model course.
2003-2006: The national champion in the “470″ model course for youth.
2006: The world “470″ model youth course champion.
2007: Was graded 2nd in the “470″ model youth course.
Gil Manor Gil Manor was born in California in 1983. Gil Manor started his way in the club on a date that is quite historical for us, October 23rd 1993, which is the day in which the very first training took place, so you can say that Gil has been with us since the beginning. Throughout the years, Gil had become an excellent sailor and a three year Israeli champion in the Laser Radial category. In addition to being a top student at the Technion – Israel’s Institute of Technology, Gil is working as a superior trainer of our Laser team and has already raised other champions.
Ofer Cohen Ofer Cohen was born in Haifa. Ofer came to our club in 1996 from a family of sailors and a father that is one of the most influential persons in the Israeli Yacht owning community. In all the years of his training, Ofer had mastered sailing the 420 and Olympic 470 model. These days, Ofer splits his time between being a student and working as a superior 420 coach, giving great contribution to our club’s future sailors.
Amit Brokman Amit Brookman was born in 1992 in Israel. From the age of five years old people held great anticipations from Amit that also comes from a family of champion sailors and a father that is one of the club founders and was and is an excellent sailor in self. Amit had already elegantly won titles and medals in and out of Israel. Amit’s partner, the excellent Moshe Apple is a part of the nation’s 2012 Olympic hope.
2005-2006: The 420 model course Israeli champion.
Maya Glance Maya is a young winning sailor with old sailing genes in her blood. Other relatives of Maya take active part in the club. Maya has won the world championship in the 4.7 Laser model for cadets in 2008 and looking towards a promising sailing career.
Gil Cohen Gil Cohen was born in Haifa, Israel. Gil is a promising young female sailor that loves hard work and likes to succeed in what she does when most of her time is usually spent at sea. Having been hungry for success, such was not late to come and she won the 2nd place in the 420 model tournament. Today Gil is sponsored by Ha-Poel Tel-Aviv but our club will always keep her a warm spot here in Haifa.
Ben Eshel Ben started in basic sailing but very soon he acquired skills in practically all boat models and is showing unique guidance methods today as a part of the club’s staff.
2005- The Israeli champion in the 420 model for youth
2006- The Israeli champion in the 420 model for adults
Baba Zion Baba is an excellent athlete and is showing great efforts as a partner in the 420 model Israeli youth tournaments.
2008- the Israeli 420 model youth champion
Maya Borissov Already in her early days we here in the club felt that a great future lies ahead of Maya. Today she is a top sailor, focusing the Laser model she had mastered and holds a three year winning record.
2004-2006: the Israeli Laser model champion
Moshe Apple Moshe Apple was born in 1982 in Haifa, Israel. Moshe started his sailing carrier in the Ha-Poel Akko group and afterwards joined our club as a beginning sailor. Along the shift to 420 model, Apple started a dual sailing team with Amit Brookman. Together they become a most excellent team.
